Draft at the Great British Beer Festival 2014, Day 1 - London. Pours clear brown with a bubbly tan head. Burnt toast character with notes of burnt popcorn, dry chocolate, soft earth. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Finishes with some further earthy bitterness, burnt malts, dry chocolate, overarching mellow roast. Solid.

Bottle from Bernie’s Off License, Solihull. Poured a clear dark brown with a thin broken off white head. The aroma is light roasted malt, light hop. The flavour is medium bitter with a chewy malt, earthy light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. One of the better milds I’ve had.
