Tsjeeses was brewed for the first time in 2004 but not under that name because we didn’t find a name yet. Different code names like "Dangerous Blonde”, “New Years Blond” were used in 2004 and 2005. While brewing the same beer in 2006, our team got so hit by the beer, at a certain point, somebody said: “Tsjeeses what a great beer”. This batch was bourbon barrel aged.

0.33l bottle. Hazy dark orange body, tall off-white head. Aroma of caramel, cloves, juniper, whiskey and wood. Taste of caramel, brown sugar, whiskey, orange zest and cloves. Nice beer, but to be honest there is too much going on in it for me.

Gylden brun klar med to fingre høyt beige skum. Lukter røde bær, syltetøy og vanilje. Bitter med kraftig karamell, bærsødme. Velbalansert. Middels fylde. Medium lang. Kjenner lite til alkoholen

33 cl. bottle poured in to a Trappist glass, 2013 Vintage. A slow gusher. Big, white head, that quickly fades to a thin cap. Hazy amber colour with golden hues. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, yeasts, spicy hints, orange peel, cane sugar, dark, dried fruits, wooden notes. Soft, alcohol dense vanilla notes - bourbon barrel. Taste is sweet. Full body with a lively carbonation and an oily texture. Finishes lasting dry and fruity with vanilla, oak and rich toffee/caramel malts. Excellent Christmas beer with barrel ageing adding extra layers of flavour.

15/11/2015 @home - 33cl bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck, Vichte. Hazy amber with nice white head. Aroma is malty, vanilla, sweet. Taste : malts, dark fruits, vanilla, some wood, caramel, sweetness. I liked this one more than the PBA, it seemed more balanced to me.

Bottle at home, bought in Paris, 14th November 15. Pours with a little gush, murky dark yellow. Aroma dark fruit, vanilla, spice bourbon. Taste is prune, bourbon, sweet, caramel. Palate is fairly flat. This is a nice Belgian Strong but I preferred the Port Barrel version.

Bottle 0.33l at Stadin Panimobaari, Helsinki. Colour is deep orange with very small white head. Aromas and flavours: Some fruits, candies, dryness, some wood and malts. This is very strange.
