Bottle. Amber color. Malt, caramel, confit cherry and a hint of vinegar in the aroma. Oak, bourbon and vanilla in the malty, slightly alcoholic flavor. Hint of confit cherry. Full bodied Tastted december 2008: Bottle. Orange brown color. Anis, pear and lychee in the aroma. Vanilla, oak, anis, orange peels, coreander, calvados and butter in the malty sweet flavor. Good complexity, satisfyingly balanced. Vanilla and lychee in the aftertaste. 2009 version, from tap @ BBF 2010. Orange blonde, cloudy. Warming alcoholic flavor with tangerine, dried tropical fruit and a hint of vanilla. The aroma lacks a bit behind. Unknown vintage, tasted jan 13, best until 2016. Brewed at Deca Woesten, so must be a few years old. Amber color. Ripe fruit and oak in the aroma. Malty sweet, alcoholic flavor with oak, cellar notes and vanilla. Ripe fruit. No signs of tiredness whatsoever.

330ml bottle [2011 vintage]. Hazy, dark brown colour with small to average, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Sweet-ish, fruity and malty aroma, notes of dried fruit, müsli, raisin, sultanine, Goji berry, some caramel, dried banana. Taste is sweet malty, fruity, notes of plum butter, dried fruit, caramel; cautious BA Support; creamy texture, smooth and soft palate.

Bottled 09/11/2016. brown hazy color, small yellowish head. smells marzipan, nutty, ripe fruits, raisins, some molasses, bit glueish. nice smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes earthy, spices, peppery, citric, bit acidic, lightly lactic, some ripe fruits, marzipan. finishes dry and ligthly sour with notes of ripe fruits, marzipan and citrus. decent one, actually rather on the sour side, expected this to be more sweet, not bad but also not that great.

330ml bottle, 2014 vintage. Cloudy dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma of bourbon, dark fruits, mild spices. Taste is malty, slightly toasted, caramel, bourbon, dark fruits, yeast, sugar, touch of vanilla, warming booze. Medium body, moderate carbonation.

(330ml 2014 bottle from Beerseeker/Etre) Pours a slightly murky deep copper colour with an off-white small head. Aroma of caramel, dates, golden raisins, fruity esters, wood, soft vanilla, but also some tart and oxidized notes. Flavour of heavily tart fruits in light caramel, like sour cooked grapes, some spices, yeast, woody astringency, oxidation, metal, bracing tartness through the finish. Medium bodied, thin, average carbonation. Infected/off, definitely not right. Drain pour, unfortunately.
