Bottle. Unclear amber body under a tan head. Aroma is dominated by peated malt, also caramel, dry fruit, Belgium yeast and warming alcohol. Taste is rather sweet with lots of peat, cured meat, toffee, and smoke. Fine body and same aftertaste. Bold and tasty, but also a bit one dimensional, almost too much. Prefer the original.

ABV: 10.5%. Clear medium orange colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, peat, moderate to heavy yeasty, fruity yeast, belgian yeast. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, fruity yeast, belgian yeast, peated, caramel, candy - sweet yeast - fruity yeast. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming. [20210605]

Bottle @ Højbjerg tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are peat, fruits, yeast, malt and has a sweet smoky finish. I am not a fan of Laphroig.

Bottle @Last Højbjerg Tasting in Højbjerg. Clear light amber, offwhite head. Mild peaty aroma, light yeast. Peaty flavour, caramel and yeasty spice. Smooth, fluffy mouthfeel. Warming finish.

Bottle @ Saxo tasting. Light hazy amber with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, yeasty and peated whisky. Flavor is very sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish with heavy alcohol. Boozy. 050621

The beer starts fantastic mild with lots of smoke. Mild, soft. Caramel, wood and lots of smoke. Moderate caramelly sweetness, lots of peat, great deep caramelly peated finish. Great brew.
