What it is, is what it is, maybe not so much what you think it is.

Weissbier is a pillar of modern beer. This classic German beer category originated in the 15th century Bavaria but is now celebrated the world over. Hefeweissbier refers specifically to an unfiltered wheat beer that's hazy in appearance due to the presence of yeast. Known for distinctive flavours of banana and clove, it's creamy and smooth while remaining effortlessly drinkable and beautifully refreshing.

440ml can, my first from Cloudwater. Slightly cloudy gold, frothy white head, decent lacing. Aroma of banana, clove, yeast, floral and citrus hops. Taste follows aroma with the banana and yeast notes being prevalent but also some clove and fruity apricot as well a slight aromatic floral note. Smooth moderate body with a short sharp carbonation which I think works better than some of the more lager type carbonation you get on some Hefeweizens. Overall very good.

Can at home. Almost clear light golden with white head. Cloves, banana, wheat, doughy, light flowery, allspice, grassy, pils malts. Medium sweet, light bitter. Medium bodied. Not much hefe to be seen... OK weizen but for this price you can buy multiple better classic German ones so it all seems a bit pointless to me.

A can shared with PH Pit and others at Goblet Beer Store, Zagreb, thanks, guys. Hazy greenish pale golden. Banana candy aroma, metallic, phenols soft at first, a touch of plastic, phenols nicely develop further. Balanced sweetness, cloves phenolic balanced with ripe fruit, bitterness in the finish. Soft texture, light to medium body, light moderately lasting finish, soft to moderate carbonation. Some flaws, overall good balance.

Can at home picked up from Cloudwater online. A light hazed golden yellow coloured pour with a fine loose white head. Aroma is light wheat grains, dusty, dried banana sweets, light caramel touch. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, rounded, bready wheat, banana bread, hint of lemon rind, light mineral, hint of bubble gum. Palate is fine carbonation, airy carbonation, light mineral. Decent.
