Kveik Fermented DDH Triple IPA.
For our 500th brewday we decided to make a real beast of a TIPA. Tread lightly.
Ingredients: Water, Malt (Extra Pale, Oats, Dextrin), Hops (Citra Incognito, Citra, El Dorado, Strata, Azacca Cryo), Yeast (Omega Hornindal)
A few weeks ago we had our 500th brewday, so we had to celebrate it in style.
PHI - Gyle #500 is a real beast of a Triple IPA, fermented with Hornindal Kveik, hopped with Citra Incognito from Simply Hops on the hot side, and dry-hopped with immense amounts of Citra, El Dorado, Strata and Azacca Cryo.
Yeast and hops work together to bring complex notes of pineapple kombucha, jackfruit, ripe grapefruit and maracuja, all packed up in a dangerous 9,5% juicebox.

Can. Hazy gold beer, small cream colour head. Palate starts smooth, is semi dry and develops a crisp bite. Light malts bring a nice light level of creamy sweetness. Tingling hop spice covers savoury edged juicy citrus that has a sweet back end and emerging ripe tropical fruits. A pine streak weaves in and out. Finishes fairly crisp with the hop spice lingering on. Very nice. One of those nuanced and layered DIPAs you can't wait to take the next sip of.

Stark hopfig-süßer Beginn. Mild würzig, eher trocken, süßlich bleibend. Etwas Alkohol, keine Herbe, langer Nachhall. Okay. 10/8/9/9/8/9

330ml can. Opaque vibrant golden orange, white head. Aroma of overripe tropical fruits, pineapple, grapefruit. Taste is intensely hoppy, sweet, overripe fruits, pineapple, grapefruit, mango, mild piney bitterness, alcohol is about as expected. Full bodied, incredibly smooth, soft. Great TIPA.
