06.01.2026 - 0.5l can from aldi, 0.79€. pours a clear dark chestnut with an off-white head. aroma of caramel, bread. flavour of toasted bread, coffee, caramel, raisins, cola. sweet. alcohol is well hidden.

Half litre can from the Aldi in Cochem (on the Mosel in Germany), poured twice into a Bitburger dumpy stemmed glass, the rest was poured down the sink, not impressed at all. Looked OK, ruby red body, but no head after 5 seconds. It was just a malty sweet mess and I was so disappointed because the Helles I had before this (also from Aldi) was decent. Love Dark/Winter Bock beers normally, this one however wasn't very good.

0,5 l can. Dark amber in the glass, slightly cloudy with a big foamy pale beige head. Looks good. Sweet malty aroma.Taste is malty, dry, increasing bitter hop, fruity in the background. Mid carbonated. Okay.
