Baeren Trad Gold Pilsner No. 1 Cascade 4.5% Crystal clear deep golden yellow color with an off-white head that dissipates quite fast. The aroma is herbal minty pine. Really refreshing crisp clean mouthfeel and flavor. Not complex but on point enjoyable. I kind of get the feeling this is German or Japanese cascade as it seems milder than what I’m used to from PNE varieties.

Bottle, mail order from the brewery. 8 days old. Grassy, herbal and lemony hop nose, seems almost fresh hop--which it right may be as these are local to the brewery. Very grassy and fresh, quite minty for Cascade. Crisp, clean malt (I think this is the same Northern German pils, filtered). Clear, bright gold. Low, rocky head. Flavor is grassy, herbal, minty. Leafy in a fresh hop way. Also lemon and orange, crisp malts, but of honey biscuit sweetness. Fun. Quite full bodied compared to the filtered pils. slightly bitter finish, but sweeter overall. Very nice, not as good as the more traditional ones.
