Baeren Northern Germany Style Pilsner Unfiltered version 5% Sweeter aroma, taste is nicely bitter and herbal hops with a rounder mouthfeel - very smooth. The taste has done honeyed grain biscuit elements but herbal green hops as well. Really nice.

Bottle, mail order from the brewery. Bottled 10 days ago. As expected, a breadier, yeastier nose than the filtered version. Slightly doughy, rich, less hop forward, but still herbal, peppery, light citrus, and nice malt. Cloudy bright gold. Looks like a Munich area Zwickl. Malty, completely more malty than the filtered version. Also rich yeast, some light esters, but very bready more than crackery. Great bitter, spicy hopping like the other. Very fun to try these side by side. It's great, but not quite as cracking as the filtered version
