Y Market 4D Simcoe 6% Ramping things of from 2D this beer had a rocky head of foam and deep gold color. The aroma was citrus with some dank making me think West Coast IPA. Medium bodied with a somewhat rounded mouthfeel. The taste is danker and richer with a fuller body than the 2D. I think it’s got a better balance to boot but the richness makes it slightly less poundable.

Can from Yamaoka. Very bright, lovely Simcoe nose, minerally, citrus, lightly salty / sweaty, light tropical fruits, and crisp, slightly honeyed malts in the background. Bright, deep golden orange, clear, with a high, fine head. Citrus, minerals, biscuits, light tropical fruit flavor. A bit sweet. Very fruity. Very little bitterness. Medium body. Not quite a snappy as I would like, but great hop nose.
