Tap at the Jopenkerk. Poured a hazy medium brown with a thin off white head. The aroma is yeast, roasted malt. The flavour is medium bitter with a light yeast malt nutty hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. It’s a fine beer but far from being a great brown ale. It needs a smoother richer chewy texture and a more nutty flavour. Now if they brewed something more like the Rogue Nut Brown ale here, then I might be having some alcohol addiction issues :-)

On tap at Jopen, as Vijfhoek Bruin. Dark brown colour, creamy light-beige head. Aroma of cocoa, candy sugar, some dark fruits. Flavour is medium-sweet, malty, cocoa, fruits, very light-bitter finish. Light-bodied. Generic dubbel.
