Bottled. A black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, alcohol, and prunes. The flavor is sweet with notes of prunes, alcohol, and roasted malt, leading to a bitter finish.

Sample from 75 cl bottle. Near black with a thin lightly tanned head. Sweet aroma with liquorice, vanilla, dark malts, herbal hoppy notes, oaked notes and fruits. Taste is sweet. Full bodied. Lasting sweet finish with dark malts. Very nice.

14-03-19 // from a 750ml bottle at BRLO BRWHOUSE Pitch black. Brown creamy head. Lot of bourbon in the nose in the beginning. Warming up some more dark chocolate. And a little sweetness. Taste is oily and full bodied. Loads of roasted malts. Dark chocolate. Bourbon very present. A little booze in the end. Minimal unbalanced. Warming up it gets more balanced. Lovely. Worth the price? Probably not. Still a great beer. --- Beer merged from original tick of Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout on 04 Nov 2019 at 20:49 - Score: 8.
