330ml bottle. Jet black colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, mostly lasting, moderately lacing, tan head. Roasty dark malty aroma, widely disguised hints of coffee, BA notes of rhum, leather, wood. Taste is bitter, roasty dark malty, heavily bitter and minimally metallic notes of coffee, dry, woody notes of rhum; lingering, roasty dark malty finish with hints of coffee and a minimalyl warming alcoholic touch. Full body, smooth and soft palate, fine, efficacious carbonation, minimally sticky palate. Too bitter, rather monotonous and restricted for an Impy Stout.

31-01-19 // on tap at Protokoll Berlin for Le French Invasion. Deep black. Nose of roasted darker malts. And strangely bourbon barrels. But in the taste it is more soaked rhum. Coffee aswell.
