Old bottles from notes, not rating at time of consumption. 2005-2007 vintages. Clear, mahogany-burgundy-raspberry. Small, dark beige head. Sweet and sticky caramel, raisin, light alcohol and plentiful vanilla and bitterness on the end. Lightly fruity, very caramel-forward. Soft, rather boozey. The texture is warm and comforting. Just a classic, big, sweet, barleywines but thankfully low on the hop acid and high on the malt and fruitiness.

Bottle. Orange color. Small head that disappears fast. Grainy, vinous aroma. Sweet, grainy flavor, somewhat dusty and vinous. Rather onedimensional barley wine with a sticky mouthfeel.

33cl Bottle from my beer cellar. 2009 vintage I think. Hazy amber pour. Thin off white head. Pretty good. Noticable alcohol but nice.
