Aroma of tropical fruits such as grapefruit, pine, orange peel, some caramel. Flavour is fruity and hoppy, with a medium bitterness in the aftertaste. Collaboration brew from two of my favourite Dutch breweries, and it doesn’t disappoint.

Brouwerij 'TIJ & De Molen Double IPA 9% bottle from World Beer Market. I've been meaning to try this for awhile. Like the Sankt Gallen Hop Relax it is darker than your typical IPA but I guess as a W-IPA it is well within the styles spectrum. A beige head shelters a fruity malt rich hop aroma. Wow it's got a full lusciously smooth body. The taste is grape, citrus and hops with sweetly medicinal alcohol heat. It's somewhat US barleywine like but mellowed with age. Quite good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Pibar, Lausanne; bb 02/2016
Hazy amber color, small head. The aroma is not as hoppy as desired. The mouthfeel is very smooth; quite malty, moderately sweet; strong bitterness, with the hop providing a fair amount of resins but not enough fruits and freshness. In the final there is a warming alcohol feeling.
Good beer, but nothing exceptional.

Bottle thanks to Nikos. Pours hazy orange with a small beige head that dissipates fairly quickly with some lacing. Aroma is caramel, pine, melon. Flavor is medium sweet, light plus bitter, melon, grapefruit, pine, bread, caramel. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel. A bit aged, methinks, but holding up well.

Bottle from Taniguchi. Big nose of grapefruit, orange, minerals. Dry and metallic. Pretty orange-amber with lace. Sweet citrus and caramel, bitter finish. Very sweet in a 7-Up way, then harsh and bitter. Out of balance. Cloying. Weird. Not impressed.
