Cinnamon bun double stout

10 different malts, 100kg of organic Tunisian Deglet Nour dates, 100+ Tahitian vanilla pods, ancho chillies and a heap of organic cinnamon.

Sun Gone is a big thick stout. Lots of cinnamon mixed with floral Tahitian vanilla followed by a rich complex date sweetness. This is finally balanced off by the smokiness of the rauch malt and ancho chillies.

440ml can Sophies Beer Store. Pours dark, thick tan head. Prominent cinnamon on the nose, alongside thick dark malt, cocoa. Taste continues along similar lines, medium to heavy bodied, nicely balanced cinnamon presence, good layered dark malts, vanilla and chilli both don't seem to have a huge presence, but drinks well overall with light creamy textures. Good stuff.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - opaque black with a lovely fawn head. Nose - definite cinnamon and pastry. Dark chocolate edge. Taste - dark boozy chocolate this time, which engulfs the cinnamon pastry. Palate - rich and full bodied. Creamy texture. Impressive linger. Overall - lovely stuff.
