We don't need to explicitly emphasise anything here, we just need to let the ingredients do the talking. There's more salted caramel in this beer than you can shake a stick at and we've also blended it with an array of dark and roasted malts & a touch of lactose to create a truly thick and creamy beverage - Certainly one you'll want to come back to.

Hand pumped at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours pretty dark brown, with fine brown foam. Aroma is very chocolatey, biscuity. Body is somehow dense, with limited carbonation. Taste is fairly sweet, moderately roasty, but with an average final.

440ml can. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a short-lived, light tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, caramel, fudge vanilla. The flavour is moderate sweet, with a crisp, fizzy, roasty, sweet sugary, vanilla, light pepper spice palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Somewhat light and clearly brewed for the supermarkets.

Deep, dark brown, near black, with a frothy tan head and a caramel/toffee aroma. Disappointingly thin bodied, there's a nice blend of roasted malt and sweet caramel, but without much evidence of the salted aspect - promised much but sadly didn't deliver quite as expected, but still a decent enough sweet stout

440ml can BBE 08-21. Black, small beige head, minimal retention. The salted caramel aroma is very noticeable with chocolate, malts and hints of vanilla and lactose. Taste is sweet but not sickly, caramel, light-roasted malts, chocolate and lactose. Moderate to full body, quite a thick mouthfeel. Very enjoyable. The blurb on the back states 'We don't need to explicitly emphasise anything here...' In which case why are they calling it 'Explicit Emphasis'!

440ml can: BB 28th Jul 2021. This was my penultimate beer of the 11th Sep 2020 Virtual Bar session. Poured into a thistle shaped glass it looked fine, black bodied, tanned foam top. Strong caramel nose and flavour, viscous body feel, nice fairly sweet brew that I quite enjoyed.

Can from Morrisons Supermarket, Moston. Dark brown with a small head. Smoothish stout with its salted caramel dominating its flavour, with its lactose very evident amongst its roasted malts. There's a little bit of spiciness involved in the drinking process too. Has plenty of aroma.

Dark brown colour with quickly fizzed out head. It does exactly what it says on the tin. Salty caramel in abundance. Thin and gassy though.
