Beer made at the ‘Proef’brouwerij for an institution that takes care of disabled people, located in Merelbeke near Ghent. Thanks tderoeck. Snow white, membranous-lacing, stable, medium thick head, initially clear ‘old gold’ robe, warm and deep, misty with sediment. Aroma of lightly toasted pumpkin seed, bread crust, rusk, dry straw, bubblegum, grass, dried camomile, old rubber note. Sweetish onset but restrainedly so, some light banana, light sourish accent too accentuated by very sharp, painfully stinging overcarbonation; slick dry-bready and rusk-like maltiness, coriander seed spiciness on top, towards a medium long, bit leafy hop bitter ending. Well-hopped for its category, decent and enjoyable for what it is; reminds me of the ‘Proef’brouwerij’s old days (late nineties and early noughties), before Mikkeller took up much of their production capacity.

11/VII/20 - 33cl bottle from a trade, shared @ home, BB: 7/XI/20 (2020-618) Thanks to Jerre for the trade!
Clear blond to deep yellow beer, small creamy off-white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: pink bubble gum (like those roll-up 1m of bubble gum in a red box, I remember from my childhood), spicy, cow fodder, grains, herbal, some wort. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: all bubbles, some banana, soft bitterness. Aftertaste: little bitter, sweet touch, lots and lots of bubble gum, meh, don’t like it.
