Cask at Lord Burton, Burton-on-Trent: Golden coloured brew with an Americanesque hoppy taste, with good hints of grapefruit.

From tap at Flying Horse at Gatwick Airport 26.08.24. Clear golden. Dense and foamy, but diminishing white head. Aroma and taste of sweet pale malt, sweet orange marmalade, dried papaya and dried apricot. Also hints of herbs. Subdued bitterness in aftertaste.

Fra cask på Mossy Well: lett uklar gylden med fint skum som varer. Balansert fruktig anslag, behagelig urtebitterhet og fin maltsødme i avslutningen.

Anyway, pours a golden yellow that is slow to settle but weventually gives a small foamy white head and good lacing. The aroma has malts and some continental hoppiness. Slightly sweet in the mouth, with malts and caramel prominent There are traces of floral hops and lemongrass as well, and there texture is slightly syrupy. Rounded off with a malty finish. This is a bit run of the mill, but it’s OK.
