10/4/2020. Bottle courtesy of Idiosynkrasie (and Aziz) cheers both. Pours clear bright gold with a lasting fluffy white head. Aroma of sweet malt, grain, corn and straw. Medium plus sweetness and light bitterness. Moderate body, slight creamy texture, average to soft carbonation. Bit of fruit comes through to finish, with a bit of bitterness picking up too. Quite enjoyed this, certainly more than many other African beers I've had.

New product from this local but industrially oriented brewery in Burkina Faso's capital, thanks Ruben for the bottle. Medium thick, snow white, lightly lacing, quickly breaking and dissipating head, crystal clear pale straw blonde robe with somewhat greenish tinge. Aroma dominated by stale, sourish grains and sour sweat (very unpleasant), flanked by impressions of damp kitchen towels, wet grass, rubber, old chewing gum (unsugared), pond water. Neutral onset, sweetish graininess but quickly shifting to this unpleasant, almost stale sweat-like sourishness, some minerally accents, slick and thin body, watery, with this simplistic and 'cheap' sourish graininess remaining the dominant flavour; very vague straw-like hoppiness in the end but hardly any real bitterness, with some metallic aspects. This unpleasant sourish graininess remains till the very end - and eventually prompted me to pour the beer down the drain. I still have their other lager to try, but I cannot imagine it being worse than this. Worst pale lager I had in a long time, sorry Ruben!

650ml bottle [big thanks to Aziz for this discovery!] Clear, orangey golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Minimally strawy and grainy, malty aroma, a touch of maize and rice, minimally soapy, hoppy overtones. Taste is slightly strawy, grainy malty and slightly bitter, soapy hoppy, a touch of maize and rice, subtle sweetness; slightly watery passages, bitter hoppy finish with metallic overtones. Relatively clean and nicely hopped.
