Old bottle at De Kulminator, like most ratings here; a heavy, amber coloured, fruity, almost barley wine-style beer with malt sweetness and some metallic notes, perhaps a bit too old to be rated properly, though the oxidation process was not yet advanced too much... Very enjoyable, though.

1996 bottle from Kulminator. Cloudy amber beer, no real head. Very mild carbonation. Semi dry palate. Fairly rich malt with a like Port wine character. Very mild oxidisation. Traces of fruit and spice. Mild bitter aftertaste. Still decent 15 years on!

(Bottle 33 cl) Aged sample - age unknown. Slightly hazy, amber golden with a small, white head. Malty, sweet aroma. Pronounced madeirazation with soft, sweet caramelish malt. Notes of overripe - almost rotten fruit. Quite vinous. Yet manages a wee hint of hops in the finish. 221005

An unclear amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet fruity combined with notes of the yeast. The flavor is sweet with primary notes of wood and over ripe fruits.
