Many thanks Doberd for this Beer. Schwarzes Bier mit schöner großer bräunlichen Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr herb fruchtig nach exotischen Früchten, minimal röstmalzig. Geschmack röstig, Schokolade, Kaffe, fruchtig bitterer Abgang.

Black with thin beige head. Grapefruit, lemon peel, pine, smoked malts, ash. Fruity and sweet with nice hoppy and burnt bitter. Medium bodied, creamy feel. Nicely balanced, great stuff.

Really smooth, silky texture. Aroma and taste have green, fresh hops and slight roast malt. Has a level of alcohol and balance of flavour which makes it worthy of repeating.

Bottle shared with Dutchdrebus and Ansjelaah @ weekly tasting. Black color, medium sized slightly creamy fair lacing beige to slightly brown head. Smell and taste malts, hops, decently bitter, decently roasty, slightly coffee. Quite nice, pretty decently balanced. Medium body and carbonation.

Bottle @ benzai. After the beer was served into the glass there was found a lasting quantity wall adhesive off-white foam colour which was fine amd even of structure. The beer is brown btw. Smells coffee, roasty, chocolate and a nice amount of hops. Smells like a great black ipa. Tastes roasty, coffee, slightly liquorice, bitter and some hops. Could use more hops, but it’s a nice beer. Medium body, great carbo.

33cl bottle from the Bier Koning, Amsterdam. Thick creamy tan head. Clear black pour. Nice grapefruit bitterness. A good black IPA

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Black colour, big dense beige head. Aroma of liquorice, laurel, citrus and grapefruit, mellow on the hoppy side, coffee, tar. Flavour is black liquorice, coffee, laurel, grapefruit, hint of chocolate, nice citrus bitter finish, weed. Light to medium-bodied. Nice and tasty mellow BIPA.

Black as night, generous foamy brownish head, collapses slowly, good lacing. Aroma at first very fruity, vinous, cherry syrup, followed by roasty, coffee, floral, pine, herbs, smoky, liquorice. Malty and dry bitter and sweet taste, kinda coffee bitterness. Full body, creamy texture, dry bitter finish, spicy/herbal undertones. Stoutlike beer, another good one from ’t IJ.
