ABV: 6.0%. Murky medium red orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, wheat, berries (raspberry - cherry), elderflowers, barnyard, funk. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, berries (raspberry - cherry), elderflowers, wheat, minerals, funky, leather - barnyard, oak. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20211022]

Vintage 2018. purple hazy color, small pink head. smells super unique, flowery, elder flowery, cherries, raspberry, heavy spices, some curcuma, subtle currant notes. very nice smell. full body, soft carbonation. tastes of sour cherries, marzipan, some elder flowers, heavy spices, curcuma, rasbperry, bit herbal, stone fruits. finishes lightly dry and lightly sour with notes of curcuma, elder flowers and some cherry notes. very unique beer, heavy on the spices, the fruits and flowers blend together very well, nothing sticks out too much for me, very nice stuff.

750 ml bottle, 2018 vintage, bottled 10/07/20, shared by Werckmeister, thanks! Deep, dark red body, with a big, frothy, dissipating, pinkish head. Aroma mainly of elderflower and sweet-sour raspberry, moderate funk, slight cherry. Tastes quite similar, with more jammy raspberry, more sour cherry. Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a quite lively carbonation. Finishes smooth, moderate sour, slightly funky, with elderflower, raspberry, moderate cherry, a bit spicy. Tasty. Really interesting, the elderflower is quite dominant, while there are also lots of fruit notes, especially raspberry. Drinks a bit heavier, while elegant and balanced. Lovely, characterful stuff. Score: 8 / 4 / 8 / 4 / 16
