Bottle conditioned 500m (best before 27 Apr 2013)l: in The Victoria, Birmingham during a mini-pub-crawl on 18th September 2012. Poured it myself: didn’t trust the staff who were waving the bottle about like it wasn’t bottle conditioned. Very cold when given to me. Deep amber/brown body with a thin tan coloured head (due to my cautious pour and its coldness). The aroma took a while to arrive, but as the beer warmed a mixed bag of malty smells started to fill my nose. Chocolate tart with dried fruits and a hand full of salted nuts just about sums up the esters. The taste was also leaning towards the malt side of things although there was also an undercurrent hop bitterness just below the semi-sweet maltiness. My first beer from these people: I’ll have some more if I come across any.

Cask at Euston Tap. Dark brown lasting creamy beige head. Its a dry malty strongish bitter with little bitterness. Taste is fine if a little neutral. Ok malts. Flavours are fine if as I say quite toned down.
