Canned 07-09-20. Pours thick, gluggy, black with a bit of light foam. Smell is deep and rich, plenty of barrel, some chilli, sweet chocolate. Lovely thick mouthfeel, with just a bit of carbonation to lighten. Taste is sweet, chilli heat, whisky, calvados.
Opens up into a lovely blend of flavours and barrels. Ten minutes after finishing it, a subtle Bruichladdich smokyness appears in my mouth.

Tupperwhale from Erik @ virtual tasting. Black with tan head. Quite straightforward. Boozy, but not overpowering. Some roast, coffee. Barrels very present. Nicely balanced, oily, chewy. Very nice!

Can at home, from HOTM online, 27/11/20. Pitch black with a well presented lasting tan head. Nose is cacao nibs, light smoke, charr, brandy notes, oak, earthy tones, booze tunes. Taste comprises dark chocolate, booze, big barrel tones, good brandy vibes - more prominent than on the nose, molasses, earthy, dried fruits, light spice. Full bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close with a balanced rising boost. Solid big boost imp-eye ... good complex barrel notes and drinks well for a 14% beast.

0.33 l can from 'Drinks & Gifts', canned in September 2020. Pitch black with a thin, frothy, almost stable, light brown head. Sweetish-malty, gently roasty aroma of praline, coffee and a touch of licorice. Rather sweet, malty, quite roasty taste of dark chocolate, praline, hard roasted coffee and some licorice, followed by a long, rather roasty-bitter, slightly peppery and a bit boozy finish with notes of bourbon and brandy. Full body, smooth and creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Massive beer, as thick as the base beer but with increased complexity. Really good!
