Tho it doesn’t say it, I suppose this is the 2010-2011 winter version. Smell is just plain freash beer; perhaps a little sweet. Not really quite red. Orange brown, perhaps. Oh yes, first taste inpression is a little strong alky. Some bitter bite in the background. Bitterness growns during the slushes. Medicinal at times. Some CO2 but just barely. Tones up an oily palate like many IPA. Finsh is 10W bitter rototiller. Seems like it wants to be impy IPA at times. Ends with a malty less hoppy interlude.

bottle pours amber with a medium off white head. Aroma is grapefruit and toasted malts. Flavor is very malt forward, toasted, grass, nuts. Ends dry with mild citrus hop bitterness and a metallic note.

Bottle thanks to travita. Pours with an orange body and a white head. Aroma of caramel, dryness and some alcohol. Taste is caramel, dryer sheets, and something that I cannot read from my notes. Creamy bubbles, dry mouthfeel.

Tap at Pony Bar. Nice brew here. Would make an excellent sessioner. Pours a nifty amber-red with a crisp, white head. Nose is moderately hoppy. Flavor is a nice mix of rich malts and bitter hops. Lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. Solid.

From 12 oz bottle. An amber color with a medium sized white head. Aroma is malty, with notes of caramel - definitely not the porter unless friends switched glasses on me after pouring. Sweet, malty, not overpowering, no real notable hop character outside some bitterness. An okay beer, but nothing spectacular.
