Keg at If It Ain't Dutch, Bermondsey, 11/01/24. Light black with a lasting khaki head. Nose is booze, dark malts, rummy tones, spice, stewed fruits. Taste comprises oak, rum barrel, spice, toffee, brown sugars, molasses, herb. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a boost offered. Okay sipper if a little unrefined.

Clear deep amber brown beer, small tan head. Smooth palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Decent dark toffee malts, a little creamy sweetness. Plenty of rum, traces of wood and vanilla. Spicy semi dry finish. Immature but purdy tasty.
Järjekordne gusher emelisse ba seeriast.. Natuke hapukas, magus, mõru, röst, puit, šokolaad, linnased, alks. Ok, kartsin hullemat.

Bottle. First white label for me that was not a gusher, great! more beer for me, less for the keyboard. aroma is fruity and sourish and tart, a bit like a belgian brune, quite refined and complex. hard to figure the individual notes, but i get dark dried ripe fruits, vineager, wild ale. Flavor is wild ale, licorice, faint fruity tart and sour note, burnt plastic. Not a super impressive flavor, it does taste like an infected ale, rather than a wild ale, although they can tend to taste similarly, not much barley wine over the flavor and the barrelling is not very easiliy detected, probably adds character nevertheless. some of what I get as burnt plastic could be charred wood from the barrel. perhaps they used a barrel that previously held plastic paint instead of a barrel previously holding Belize Rum. If i blind tasted this, I would guess smoked belgian double. alc. is well hidden.

Tap at the Dutch tap,. A clear deep amber chestnut,. Aroma is big raw oak, woody, liquorice, vanilla, boozy wood, Cork, dirty brown sugars. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, oily, vanilla, cakey malts, dried fruits, raw woody tannin, barrel, spicy. A bit raw and unrefined. Lingering boozy,

A very dark brown beer, a head is medium and light brown. Aroma has dried fruitness, raisin, prune, some rum and caramel. Taste has raisin, prune, low caramel, some barrel and rum. Surprisingly dry. Medium+ bodied. Could be even more complicated, nice barreling. Good beer.

24 June 2021. At Slot Oostende, Goes. Shared with the lovely Anke! Hazy dark brown, thin, tan head. Aroma of date paste, plum, ripe pear, candi sugar, burnt toffee, brown rum, almond, wet wood. Taste has sweet date, pear & prune, vague red apple in a toffee-like & biscuity malt body, bit herbal, spicy phenols with an alcoholic 'aceton' effect. Herbal hoppy finish, 'wet' woody along dried fruits, sugar and boozy brown rum-like alcohol. Medium body, syrupy texture, average carbonation. Rather 'in-your-face' but that might have well been the intention. Still lots going on and enjoyable.

Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Nougat, dried fruit, pecan, vanilla and rum in the aroma. Malty sweet, alcoholic flavor with vanilla, rum, nougat, pecan and caramel. A bit too alcoholic, but not without complexity.
