The new bock from 2002 from Dommelsche bierbrouwerij. Only a hint of caramel in the bland aroma. Sweet taste with caramel and only a slight bitter aftertaste. A bit thin. Bland bock beer that will suit the average beer drinker. (4 3 6 3 9 = 2.5) 2008 bottle from Bavaria. Dark brown color. Malty, bready buttery aroma. Malty sweet flavor with caramel and cake dough. Chicken food. Hardly any bitterness to compensate the ondedimensional sweetness. Disappointing. (6 3 5 2 8 = 2.4)

Bottle @ home. Nice dark ruby red color, lightly creamy average sized off-white to beige head. Smell toasted malts, some spices and caramel. Taste malts, some sweetness, lightly alcohol.

Kaum bockig aromatisch, penetrant. Schlecht! 7/5/5/6/6/5

The bottle looks simple, but good. The beer in the glass is okay. The beer starts very malty and sweet - like a good doppelbock. The finish is a bit weaker, modest malty, a little bit alcoholic. Not bad!

Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light light bitter with a average to long duration. Body is light medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20081025]

Bottle. Clear dark reddish amber colour, off-white head. Dull aroma of sugar and some grain. Flavour is malty and sugary, rather sweet. Just a hint of bitterness in the finish. Boring and too sweet.
