Aroma has laurel, licorice and some malt. Sweetish flavor, malty, with a hint of metal, licorice and laurel. Thin to medium bodied. Bittersweet aftertaste, again with laurel. Not bad, but certainly not perfect.

Sample, on tap at the brewpub at 5.5% as "Bock ’15". Clear, dark brownish amber with a thin, creamy, tan head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of caramel, chocolate and nuts. Sweetish-malty, roasty taste of caramel, nuts, coffee and some chocolate, followed by a short, slightly bitter, roasty finish. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!

330ml bottle. Clear, reddish brown colour with average to huge, frothy, foamy, fairly lasting, barely lacing, off-white to beige head. Minimally fruity, yeasty aroma, hints of red berries and their parings, a touch of rubber boots. Taste is dry, chalky, minimally fruity, hints of red berries; lively carbonation. Significant out of line. (5/3/5/3/10) Re-rate 28/10/2020: as Bock, 6.0% abv. 330ml bottle. Clear, reddish brown colour with small to average, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, mininmally lacing, beige head. Draught at the brewpub, vintage 2011, 1 year old, 6.5% ABV
Beautiful mahogany color, creamy head. The caramel aroma is very nice, elegant, perfumy. Nice caramel flavor too, no oxidisation, light nutty touch; it could benefit from some more body, but overall it’s very good.
