Clear copper pour, medium white head. Your basic bitter, aroma of soft bready malts, some pungent goldings and fuggles, and some soft minerals. The finish is more of the same. Medium bitterness pungent hops. Pretty basic.

Bottle on 10th April 2020 from local small grocery. Pours clear amber with shallow foam decaying quickly to zero. Tangy fruits and caramel malts in aroma. Same balance in-mouth followed by sweet berry fruits in a tangy finish. A zingy mouthfeel and plenty of body.

Bottle. Deep golden color. Soft grassy, salty notes in the aroma. Malty bready yet dry flavor. Floral grassy, soft salty notes. Decent, well balanced ale. Grassy hops in the finish.

Bottle in London. 5th new rate from MJ's 500 this summer trip. Nice citrus hop nose, sulfur, chalk, light, crackery malt and some herbs. Deep gold, clear, with a high, fine head. Flavor is maltier, with biscuits, lemon, chalk. The peppery finish is nicely bitter but a bit too chalky for me. This was probably one of the first hoppy UK golden ales, like Tangle Foot, but has stood the test of time better. Certainly it has been surpassed with the inflood of new world hops. Definitely still a decent drinker, if a bit too chalky.

Bottle from Lidl beer box @ home. Caramel colored with a medium sized white head that doesn't last long. Smells malts, caramel, iron, grains. Tastes malts, grains.. Pretty default beer. It's okay. Medium body, soft carbo.
