Bottle at home. Aroma is spicy hop, hop leaf, a little grain. Later a little soapy note on the nose. Pale golden coloured pour with a lasting thin white head. Flavour is composed of chalky carbonation, thin grainy malts, carbonic acid, pinch of caramel. Palate is thin and watery, high chalky carbonation.

Boutielle 50cl, merci à ma voisine. Dorée, col fin blanc. Arôme offre un bouquet agréable rappelant de suite des effluves organiques de miel ’honey blossom’ accompagné d’un bon fleuri noble. Palais garde une amertume basique anglaise pour une bière dont l’effervescence est un peu trop dominante. Petite douceur en toute fin de bouche.

Part of the Classic Ales 6-pack at the LCBO for Christmas 2014. Pours a slightly unfiltered golden-amber colour with a frothy cream warm cap, good retention and some wavy-creamy lacing. Aromas of bread, caramel malts, soft hops that give out hints of vanilla and dandelion. Creamy and oily mouthfeel with a tad of dryness. Flavours of toffee and grass. A little more bitter than most bitters.

0,5 bottle in Kosovo, courtesy of an English colleague. Pours golden-orange, clear. Medium tick frothy head, white and creamy. Nose: chicory, basic lager notes, some malts far away. Mouth: distinguishable bitterness which embraces the palate, maltiness and nothing more. Good to go for sessions, but nothing new.

50cl bottle from the Spar. Appearance - golden with some head which then quickly disappears. Nose - unfortunately the first thing i get is butterscotch. Then some toffee and a light citrus nite comes through. Taste - caramel and lemon. Palate - close to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a decent finish considering the richness at the beginning. Overall - not like the typical blondes I’m used to drinking.

Clear golden. Fine white head and aroma. Grass and pine shoots in aoma of dry hopping with fine hops. Taste is more neutral, while still grassy. Decently hoppy aftertaste. A bit waterish mouthfeel. Good drinkability.

Poured a clear medium amber with a thin white head. The aroma is malty and not much else. The flavour is medium bitter with a malty liqourice hoppy palate. Refreshing and fine for a session, but nothing special. I’d love to try the cask version.
