Speciality Grain - Rye / Roggenbier Regular
Score
6.67
ABV: 8.5% IBU: - Ticks: 5
A high blond triple beer of 8.5% refermentation in the bottle with a lot of character. Brewed with RYE from farmer Tom's Boerencompagnie and grown on the abbey grounds. Everything is also BIO like Libertus 1, but now clearly labeled. Rye is a subtle reference to Abbot Rye who was the last Abbot of Park Abbey from 1962 to 1991 .

Also 3 types of hops were used, which gives a fresh bitterness of 25 EBU and a density of 16° Plato, which has been fully fermented and converted to Alcohol and carbon dioxide. So put some more life in this glass. The pressure in the bottles will rise to more than 3 bar this week. The head of this beer is impressive.

Bottle 33cl. @home poured into a teku glass. Hazy pale amber colour, yeast particles, tall frothy white head, good retention, good lacing. Aroma sweet malt, yeast, grain, orange, banana, apricot, flowery hops, Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, rye, light orange, spicy notes. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, sweetbitter aftertaste, somewhat rough edges, peppery notes, a sturdy Belgian tripel, very nice.

Flesje gedeeld door Tomhendriksen en gedronken met Keukenman. Goudgeel troebel bier met wit schuim dat als een film blijft liggen. Aroma van sinaasappel en banaan. Smaak is zacht fruitig. Nasmaak is iets bitter.

Fles gekregen van mijn ouders, geprobeerd met Keukeman en Inoven. Het is een troebel geel bier met een wild schuimende witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een bloemige geur. De smaak is bloemig en kruidig.
