For Libertus 5 we will continue our experimental tour. We used an old wheat variety from Boer Tom of the Boerencompagnie. Wheat is also used in Witbieren bv, and naturally gives a cloudy appearance. We also use oats, oatmeal which we cook very briefly together with the malt.
In the fermentation we only add the hops, namely Amarilll, Mosaic and Calypso which have very fruity characters. So dry hopping. This gives a fantastic aroma together with the Pale-Ale yeast and another beer type that is new in its kind.
Not filtered, not pasteurized, with local ingredients and completely organic. Hazy Heverlee Pale Ale.

33cl bottle from De Achelse Kluis shop. F: medium, white, good retention. C: “dirty gold”, hazy, opaque. A: malty, wheat, bit orange, grapefruits, bit tropical fruits. T: medium malty base, orange, bit grapefruits, light herbal, decent bitterness, dry on the palate, hay, higher carbonation, bit like saison style, ok refreshing yet nothing memorable, enjoyed.
