330ml bottle from Summer Wine Online. Black-brown colour, beige foamy head leaving lacing and aroma of roast malt, dark fruits, powdered chocolate. Taste is roasted malt, smokey notes, dark fruity and milky chocolate with some coffee earthy bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, soft carbonation, roast bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

Svart med lavt beige skum. Melkesjokolade, noe lakris og mørke frukter. Søt i smaken, sjokolade lett kaffe og kandissukker. Rund, behagelig. Kort med lite kullsyre.

Bottle at home. Has clear and deep brown to black colour. Not so much foam, but a little beige colored. Roasted notes in the aroma along with more coffee, chocolate truffles and some leather. A little gentle aroma on this. The taste is light and sweet with more roasted malt, chocolate and some rubber. Mouth feel is silky and light, with an expected low bitterness. A nice sweet stout. A little gentle version, but is fairly easy to drink.

@Indyman - Black, no head. Sweet malty aroma. Only a light roast in the flavour. It’s fairly sweet and creamy with low bitterness.

Bottle bought @ systembolaget. Pours dark brown with a very small bubbly brownish beige head that quickly dissipates without leaving any trace on the glass. Smell is sweet and malty with roasted malts, burnt cookies, moist soil, bitter chocolate, hay, dark roast coffee with milk and hints of butterscotch. Taste is sweet, slightly bitter and malty with roasted malts, burnt cookies, milk chocolate, moist soil, hay and dark roast coffee. Mouthfeel is soft, slightly flat, round and light bodied. Finish is slightly sweet, slightly bitter and malty with roasted malts, burnt cookies, dark roast coffee, milk chocolate and soil. Quaffable stuff but slightly too flat to really get that nice creamy feel to it.

Flaska från SB. Brunsvart i färgen med en antydan av skumlock. Sädig doft med toner av bränt kaffe. Anar en viss ton av choklad också. Len munkänsla men på tok för söt, för min smak.

Bottle. It pours a reddish dark brown, almost black body and a small, beige head. The aroma has lots of dried fruits, raisins and prunes mostly, with dark sugar, a roasted touch and some coffee. Pretty simple and straight forward, but not unpleasant in any way. It’s soft and smooth on the palate, semi-sweet and medium bodied, with flavors or roasted malts and coffee in the far back, dark dried fruits and sugar in front. Milk sugar. Some bitterness chiming in towards the finish. A quite nice beer, but too sweet and soft for my likings. 140930
