Two of our favourite modern hop varietals come together in this incredibly bold yet eminently drinkable Triple IPA. Motueka’s bright, zesty lime notes beautifully compliment the smooth, dank tropical character of Idaho 7. It’s saturated with rich and moreish fruit flavours.

Thick cloudy fruit juice orange with a small white head. Aroma of dank hops, citrus, juicy tropical fruit, tangerine. Flavour is light heavy sweet and bitter. Above medium bodied with alcohol warmth in the finish and soft carbonation. Too strong, but nice juicy.

Super thick, creamy. Massively hoppy, tropical fruit, dankness, perfect ratio of bitter and sweet. Really smooth but with a backbone. Excellent.

Can at home picked up from Cloudwater online. A milky golden yellow coloured pour with a small off white head. Aroma is nice juicy peach, creamy oats, melon balls, mango. Juicy Flavour is composed of semi sweet, rounded milky oats and wheat, slick, spicy green hop, mild spicy hop burn then juicy hops, peach, lychee melon. Some lingering dank plastic notes. Palate is smooth, creamy, fine carbonation with substantial hop oils. Hides the abv pretty well.

Can. Cloudy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is slightly soft and semi dry to start with but has a good fine minerally carbonated crispness on the back end. Smooth malts, a good substantial creamy sweetness. Motueka and Idaho 7 eh? In a TIPA? I like the cut of Cloudwaters gib on this one. A strong savoury element to this hop duo here and the savoury element links up well with a little crisp bitterness and a good hop sting. The fruity character of these hops shines through, the slightly resinous piney citrus and tropical fruit of Idaho 7 with floral lime and mellow tangerine of Motueka. This new batch of Motueka seems to be the best is 7 or 8 years or more. Finishes smooth and juicy with everything coming together. The hop spice lingers on and starts to assert some back-of-the-throat hop burn. Nice job. Everything a TIPA should be for me. A more viscous body, thicker malts, intense concentrated fruity hops and enough fresh hop spice to start to burn. Nice. And I nearly omitted - bloody drinkable!
