Fein säuerlicher Beginn, trocken, sehr weich, vergleichsweise wenig fruchtig. Erkennbare Fasslagerung, wobei das Fass wiederum nicht wirklich erkennbar ist. Trocken bleibend, süß-säuerlich, kurzer Abgang, uninteressant. 4/6/9/6/6/6

21/I/24 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker), shared @ home, BB: VII/2022 (2024-54)
Pretty clear pale whitish yellow cider, no head, just a few big bubbles. Aroma: lots of apples, sour apples, a bit woody, fruity notes, rum, a bit of nail polish. MF: sourish start, bitter, tannins, earthy, wood notes, alcohol, more rum, very acidic, lime, a bit chalky. Aftertaste: dry, alcohol, rum, sour apples, bitter apple skin, woody, tannins, a bit wry, fruity notes, some vinegar.

Pours very watery and clear, pale white wine-ish. Scent is funky, raw, apples, but the rum gives it something totally different and weird, I'd almost say plastic. Taste is surprisingly sour, but has a sweet base from the apples. mild wood. The rum blends in nicely. It works... kindof. Very weird, going different directions. The usage of Jonagold apples makes the base too simple and sweet, but the counter by the sourness and the barrel provide complexity. Not something i'd often drink, but something that is an experience trough the tastebuds.
