Our first stout from the church. Elmer is a new money ticker stout. Big, bold yet creamy and smooth by a careful addition of nitro. Fermented with English ale yeast and a blend of European and American specialty malts, this beer is caramel first and roast second. Costa Rican coffee courtesy Per Norby, Madagascan vanilla and heaps of toasted coconut. Turn can up side down twice before opening to release nitro.

Can at home. Pours jet black with a nice handsome nitro head. Nose is coconut, vanilla and lactose (lots of it) with an underlying coffee touch. Taste is also heavily sweet, it’s got chocolate, some vanilla, loads of lactose and some coffee. The body is big, silky, but the lack of carbonation makes it thinner than it actually is. Not bad, but not extraordinary either.

Black with a cream light brown head. Aroma of hot chocolate, vanilla, coconut dark fruit sense. Sweet with a good chocolate, vanilla and coconut finish. Full bodied, nice!

12oz can from my brother. Black oily pour, brown bubbles disappear quickly. Roast malt aroma with notes of chocolate and coffee. Taste starts sweet, Hershey's syrup, coffee sinks into the background. Dries out also. Creamy, slippery, hefty. So smooth and elegant.

Burk från SB, något år gammal. Kolsvart, tjock vätska med tät mörkbruna skumkrona. Doftar och smakar marsipanbröd, kokos, Bounty, kaffe, mörk choklad, vanilj, drar nästan åt likörpralin. Stor och fet i både kropp och smak. Nu är burken visserligen dryga året gammal, men kaffet kanske blir lite skarpt i avslutningen - annars är det riktigt gott med rejäla mängder kokos. Extrabetyg pga Elmer är bäst.

(Thanks, Jim! Ozzy70) Can. A- Coffee, chocolate, marshmallow. A- Black color, black liquid, beige head. T- Marshmallow, vanilla, chocolate. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, boozy finish. O- Nice beer. Pretty intense and I guess it has some nitro in it. Was a bit creamy. I wish I got more coconut though. Not quite on part with Noa but still really great!
