[Cask at the Back of Beyond] Light amber, moderate white head, slight fizz (superb condition - well done Wetherspoons!). Apple and caramel at first followed by a tasty spiciness. Straw and earth come through in a moderately bitter finish that is well balanced against the sweet start. Decent bitter - although obviously very variable in both quality and flavour based on earlier reviews!

Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading. Gold with a dense cream head; clean grainy aroma; fresh, sweet, grassy, flavour; lacking finish. A rather basic bitter.
