Quite a bit fruitier than regular innis beers. Some nice ripe fruit, and the expected buttery flavor is minimized with some nice oaky vanilla notes. Touches of breasy malts, and a touch of brandy. Possibly the best innis beer ive had.

Pours amber with a nice head. The nose has nutmeg, biscuits and maybe bourbon. The taste has more nutmeg and biscuits. The palate is medium bodied with a medium texture and a cloying finish. Overall, it promised but the palate was a little unbalanced.

Pours deep mahogany into a snifter. Off-white head with medium retention recedes leaving spot lacing to skim surface. Toasted oak and bourbon aromas. Spritzy with sweet caramel and oak front to back. Medium length bourbon finish.

Bottle from Peckhams. Clear dark red - brownish colour, thin fast disappearing head. Aroma is caramel malts, sweet vanilla. Flavour is massive sweet vanilla, oak, caramel malts, fruity. The vanilla spoils everything.

330ml bottle, matured for 61 days, picked up at a Vino Wines store in Edinburgh. Bright and clear, dark brown body under a shiny surface. Velvetly smell of malts and vanilla. Expression of dried fruits, oak and caramel in the taste profile. Cherry-like impression. Smooth on the swallow. Almost completely hidden alcohol. Likable, however, too sweet for more than one bottle – and this one is sweeter that the Triple (hotel room, 01.12.2010).

This Scottish ale poured a deep orange colour with a quick living, soapy style head. To the nose there are scents of oak, whiskey, ripe fruit, alcohol and maple syrup. First taste was smooth and thick with flavours of caramel, butter, rum and whiskey most prominant. Finish is warm and sweet with lots of butter rum flavour lingering...

Part of their 2010 Christmas package with one of their glass. Pours a dark amber colour with an off-white head and a bit of lacing. Dark fruit aromas with notes of nuts, perfumed grassy hop and sweet caramel. Similar taste to what is found in the scent with a little anise aftertaste. Toffee, oranges and mild bitterness in the finish. Pretty complex overall. Another nice brew from Belhaven.
