Bottle from Beers of Europe, purchased and consumed Sept’ 2010. Pours amber, nice clean appearance, small white head, looks very good indeed. Fruity, malty on nose and with a little bit of old socks. Fruity in the mouth, nice citrussy bitterness, good bitter, in fact get’s better the more that you have, nicely hoppy. I like this, but then I’ve liked most Wagtail beers. A7 A5 T7 P4 Ov14 3.7

5th April 2010. Hazy dark amber beer. A little smoky malt on the nose. Dry palate. Tea like malt - lightly smoked. A little hop bitterness with the dry finish. Not bad but a little over dry and is this really an English Pale Ale? Label says yes. Appearence and taste say no!
