Cask-conditioned at the Mermaid, St Albans 15/06/09. Pale amber with a lacy white head. Aroma of sweet malts, orange blossom and citrus hops. Flavour had some sweetness and a touch of spicy hops before a dryish finish. Ok.

Cask at the Three Mariners, Hythe, Kent. Amber with a ring of white head; aromatic, peppery, aroma; thin and oily texture, with biscuity malt flavours; dry gently bitter finish, spicy with hints of ginger and ginseng. Interesting.

Cask at the Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks, 06-04-09 Pours amber with a slim white head. This is really a very average session beer, there is some tanginess and bitterness to it, but its most striking quality is its ordinaryness. A6 A4 F5 P2 OV11 2.8
