Pale Ale

330ml bottle [thanks Gunnar!]. Opalescent, amber colour with average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Floral hoppy and caramel malty aroma, hints of petals. Taste is dry, moderately bitter, floral hoppy, caramel malty basis without residual sweetness, hints of petals; lingering, bitter and floral hoppy finish. Slightly oily, watery texture, smooth and soft, simultaneously dry palate, fine, soft, creamy, mildly prickly carbonation. Well crafted, clean, simple, decent bitterness - good.

Slightly murky amber with a frothy, white head that lingers. Aroma full of caramel and herbal tea, but also noticeably vinous. Taste is mildly sweet up front, then mildly tart at the back, slightly metallic, with more vinous notes rounding out the uneven finish. Medium-bodied, moderate carbonation. Not bad.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a hazy, orangey amber with a small, creamy, off-white head. Caramellish nose, very subdued somewhat dusty hops. Rich, sweet, malty body, slightly nutty with very little hop impact. More Amber Ale than Pale Ale. And obviously not dryhopped. 180820

Bottle. Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Medium amber colour. Light haze. Dense foam of white head, with good retention. Nose has a lot of toffee and caramel biscuit. Some metallic, floral hop. Taste has an initial, malty sweetness, that turns aggressive, stewed hop bitterness. Cloying mouthfeel. Long, stewed hop bitterness to finish. Not too good, to be honest.
