Bottle. Brown color. Aroma of malt, butter and fruity tart. Strenge taste of buttery caramel, red fruit, mild tart and malt. Seems infected or messed up, strange.

750ml bottle. Cloudy chestnut colour with average to huge, frothy, slowly osteoporosing, minimally lacing, off-white head. Concentrated fruity aroma, gooseberry jam, some rhubarb, white grapes, disguised, minimally chocolatey, malty background with a touch of coffee. Taste is chocolately dark malty, notes of coffee, slightly vinous, fruity overtones with notes of gooseberry, white grapes, minimally tart, slightly bitter finish. A bit unbalanced and inhomogeneous, nevertheless a nice, though not fully working combination of flavours.

Bottle from Enoteca Bonatti, Firenze, March 2009. Dark brown with sediment. Good carbonation, even as it nears its best-by date. Belgian yeast and sugar are prominent. A little sweetness, lots of malt and no perceivable hops. Just a hint of sourness. Gritty mouthfeel.
