Originally a super brew of Steerage, now with late and fermenting vessel addition of Summit hops for amazing aroma. A distinctive golden hoppy yet crisp ale with fruit tastes on the palate and scent.

Half pint served at the right drinking temperature from well-kept cask at The White Star, Stoke on Trent. Slightly hazy, golden body with a skinny strip of white foam that left great lacing on the glass. Sweet smell of dry fruity hops. Fusion of citrus hops in flavour with herbal and spicy undertones. Rounded bitter finish. A bit too smooth on the swallow, perhaps (02.05.2009).

500ml bottle from Tescos - not bottle conditioned. Pale gold with a loose white head; citrus aroma; creamy orange and grapefruit flavours; dry, earthy hop finish.
Cask at the Flowerpot, Derby. Not as obviously citrus as the bottled version, this had a more balanced fruitiness.

Gravity dispense at the Miners’ Arms Summer Beer Festival, St Werburgh’s Bristol 6/8/07. Bright gold with a moderate white head. Aroma of grassy hops and hay. Flavour started sweet before the hops kicked in. Marred by a strange aftertaste which reminded me of cigarette ash.
