Bottle at home. Pours oily black with a beige head that doesnt really last long. Nose is huge chocolate, booze and bourbon with only traces of some tartness and some sherry notes, full on stout feeling. Hints of smoke even, traces of coffee. Taste is boozy chocolate and coffee, bourbon and sour cherries, sherry and spice that I guess is the coriander. Somewhat tart, somewhat earthy-coffeeish bitter, with sweet hints of bourbon and a salty finish to round things off. Full oily body, soft carbo, nice sipper. This is an incredibly complex and nicely layered beer with close-to-perfection balance between sweet, tart and bitter. Lovely.

--Sample, thanks oh6gdx! -- Black, minimal head. Aroma of chocolate sauce, soy sauce and prunes. Sweet with a strong citric component. Toffee, chocolate sauce, mild oak. Citric finish. Interesting and complicated. But not very good.

Kijk eens wat ik nog vond, een imperial black goose, zuurtje zeker aanwezig, meer dan verwacht btw, verder zacht, druif, zoetig van rood fruit (kers of zo), chocolade, veel Bourtbon, apart en ook best lekker

Shared with the boys at BBT 11/2021. To be honest I do not like this. Med-high sourness, light tartness. The bourbon totally clashes with the roasted malt, which clashes with the salt. Out of nowhere comes a flavour of liquorice. Overall disharmonious, interesting, but nor really good.
