On tap at FiftyFifty, pours a clear dull golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out spicy grassy hops and crisp crackery malt. Flavour is crisp and spicy, with grassy hops, nice spiciness from the Saaz, and crisp crackery malt. Crisp, nicely hopped and balanced well. Well-done Czech pils.

Can, Biervana, canned 45 weeks prior. Light hazy pale yellow, low head. Dry light floral and herbal hop nose. Medium light body, light sparkly bordering under attenuated. Fairly bitter grassy hops on the palate, light piney even, more akin to classic IPA than pils. Some pleasant floral hops in the finish. Feels more like a mix of north and south german pils than Czech, fun enough though.

On tap at the brewery. Aroma is moderately malt forward with a light herbal hop note. Fairly clean fermentation with faint floral esters and no phenolics. Pours a fairly clear, yellow gold with a medium sized, medium thick, white head that recedes steadily to a small film that lingers on the edges. Moderate lacing and no legs. Flavor is fairly dry with medium grain notes. Moderately strong bitterness with some light herbal, woodsy hop notes. Mouthfeel is light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a decent pilsner but nothing remarkable.

Can from Berkeley Bowl West. Pours bright gold with a foamy white head. Aroma is bread, spice, grass. Near med body. Flavor is pleasing bitter, with non-obnoxious breadiness and spice/grass. Very clean. Well towards dry. Very nice.
