At long last, we bring you our take on a Hazy IPA. It’s no secret that most of our portfolio is hop forward, flavorful, and unfiltered. With Barbarian Haze, we took the hopping protocol a bit further, using some new age brewing alchemy coupled with our old school heavy handed approach. Fans of the style will recognize the complex soft malt character that helps balance the generous hop additions for supreme drinkability.

The aromas are slightly old resin hops with some citrus and pee. Flavors are slightly better, oxidized hops come out with a little imbalance between Sweet, bitter and carbonation with sweet dominating. A little tar in there too. Decent body and a citrusy finish. I think the boss was away on this one.

Can, several times, bought at Walmart near Kent, OH. This is a real thumper of a beer. The smell is absolutely gorgeous double dry hoppage. Nice deep haze. But the bitterness is all a bit too cloying that detracts from the taste. (27/4/22)

Draught at Casa Verde, 10/25/21. Moderately hazy, bronze-brass with a small, white head showing low-to-moderate retention. Moderately juicy citrus in the nose with stronger peach, light bubble gum and hints of mango. Malts add some honey, but are mostly in the background. No alcohol or flaw noted. Straightforward and juicy with soft, thicker textures, no alcohol or twang. A bit yeastier (bubble gum) than I'd like but it's not too big a deal. Citrus, pine and papaya/mango lingering.

12 oz can dated 07/23/21. Pours yellow with clumpy particles instead of a haze, white head. Citrusy hop aroma with some grassy hops and a touch of biscuit. Flavor is citrusy grapefruit, pine, grassy hops, with a touch of caramel. It's fairly tasty.

Lemon peel and potpourri. Some light green onion. Kind of average, even for a mostly average style. Nothing near their West Coast IPAs.

Decent haze. Fruity. Pic from @chrisballadarez on Twitter. Been a busy day here prepping for Memorial Day weekend.

Cloudy bright orange body, medium tight off-white to cream head. Nose light, stone fruits and nectar. Body soft, gummy, and well-balanced, featuring stone fruits, hints of peach, bubblegum, and just a touch of crisp pine and citrus rind in the finish. A great option for a sessionable hazy.
