For the Vintage Ale 2020, we've stayed true to our roots - sourcing all our ingredients here in the UK. The story starts with DRC®, a Double Roasted Crystal malt from East Anglia that promises malty sweetness rich in caramel and raisin. Then there's the Herefordshire hops - Jester® and Godiva- adding ripe berry fruit and tangy citrus notes to the signature marmalade flavours of our famous Fuller's yeast.

(Bottle, 0.5 l - no 109998 - BB 31.12.2020, from Alko, 20210101) The beer poured pale mahogany coloured and clear. Its head was medium sized and nearly white. Aroma had toasted malts, toffee, caramel, earth and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were earth, toasted malts, caramel, toffee, marmalade, fruitiness, earth and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. A tasty and complex brew that's already good and surely will turn better with ageing.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Clear deep amber, mid sized head. Piney caramel aroma. Mid sweet with medium to full body and rounded mouthfeel. Piney caramel, honey and hay. Resinous bitter finish.

500ml bottle, no 018757, bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Very good looking in the glass with its deep copper coloured body topped by a steady off-white head that left crocheted lacing on the glassware. Appealing aromas of nutty toffee, berry skins, and herbs. Well balanced taste of toffee, dried fruits, earth, herbs, and mid-dry berries. Smooth bittersweet finish, semi-dry. Fine depth to it. An enjoying last beer in 2020. Another bottle was placed in my cellar to develop over time. (Tromsø 31.12.2020).

Kopparröd med stort, kompakt skum. Det finns en antydan till gammal sur disktrasa i doften. Smaken är ganska söt med toner av röda äpplen, mörka bär och en antydan till lakrits. Avslutningen är aningen spritigt kärv. På det hela taget en ganska trevlig öl, men disktrasedoften oroar lite.

Bottle at home picked up from fuller's online. Thanks to Colin for ordered. A clear Ruby red copper coloured pour with a lasting loose beige head. Aroma is nice fresh berries, jammy strawberries, hints of caramel, vanilla, Victoria sponge. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, brown sugars, brandy snap, singed sugars, jammy fruit, cakey malts. Palate is semi sweet, light tang, nice frothy airy carbonation quite lively. Nice jammy fruits,. Very nice.

Bottle at home, from Fullers Online, Bottle #27320 on Xmas Day 2020. Clear copper amber with a well presented beige covering that stays for the show ... a handsome looking beer. Nose is fruit cake, raisins, caramel, malts, figs, brown sugar dusting. Taste comprises liquid fruit cake, dates, toffee, nutty twang, brown sugars, mollasses. Medium bodied with a little bite, fine massaging carbonation ... great feel, semi drying close with a light kiss of alcohol offered. Really flavoursome for a fresh Vintage ... look forward to a revisit next year.

Can from Brewery Webshop; clear burnished amber pour with a thin off white head, aroma has autumn fruits, taste has malts, warming alcohol, hint of plum, some spice.

Flaska från SB. Kopparfärgad klar vätska med medelhögt krämigt smutsvitt skum. Doft av besk marmelad, karamell och fruktkaka. Smak som doft. Värmande alkohol. Färsk och betydligt mer humle och bedja än de äldre jag druckit. Lite som en engelsk DIPA. Gott
