Appearance:clear deep gold to pale amber, decent off-white frothy head. Aroma: biscuit malt, earth, herbal and floral hop. Taste: light sweet, medium to heavy bitter. Biscuit, honey, herbs, wormwood, earth. Lingering hoppy ending. Mouth feel: medium body, soft to average carbonation. Summary: pleasant old-school stuff.

Pours a beautiful, perfectly transparent light amber/dark orange, with a couple of fingers of meshed white head. Good enough retention and nice lacing. Quite weak but still clean/perceptible enough aroma: a biscuity and slightly toffeeish malty base, followed by fruity notes of mainly orange (ripe/jam-like) and a hint of floral hoppiness. Taste notes follow the aroma, now with good enough intensity and a bit more floral hoppiness popping out. Medium sweet, medium to high bitter, with a balanced mouth and a good punch of dry bitterness in finish/aftertaste, with the slightest earthy hint. Light to medium bodied, average carbonation, goes down pretty easy and decently lively. A nowadays quite rare example of a classic english ipa, and a well made one.

Bottle online from Beers Of Europe. Pours a clear golden/amber colour with a thinnish white head. Aromas of biscuits, caramel and light notes of citrus and peppery spice. Taste has more biscuits and caramel with a lot more peppery spice and a big hoppy citrus rind bitterness on a lingering dry finish . Full body, fairly low carbonation and smooth slightly oily mouthfeel. Nice punchy English IPA.

Klar bernsteinfarben mit weißer Schaumkrone. Malzig hopfiger, wenig fruchtiger Geruch. Geschmacklich malzig, getreidig, hopfig mit Toffee & Anklängen an Citrus.

Birraland.it 05.06.22

Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured a murky coppery with a white creamy head. Aroma is hoppy, floral, herbal. Taste is bitter hops, floral, herbal, malt backbone, tingles in the finish.
