Bottle at SBWF 2010. Clear golden with a medium white head. Fruity hoppy aroma. The taste was also fruity with a nice bitterness. Quite sweet with a rather heavy body. Good stuff.

Clear, uber-filtered copper pour - this one sits somewhere on the line between double ipa and hoppy barleywine - quite sweet, with a decent amount of toffee and caramel flavors - hops are assertive and quite bitter, but thankfully not abrasive like in many stronger dipas - alcohol is present, but mostly just warming - a sort of minty, herbal finish - one-dimensional, but fairly drinkable for the style.

Bottle shared at Septoberfest. The beer is an orange-amber color with a medium light beige head that dissipates steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Piney malt and caramel malt in the nose. Medium body with flavors of piney malt, citrus and sweet malt. The finish is hoppy with a piney aftertaste that has caramel undertones. Above average overall.

Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Clear amber, brief head. Salty grapefruit aroma. Mid sweet with full body and clean mouthfeel. Big and bold, but one dimensional.

Courtesy of douglas88. Thanks Douglas for hooking us up with yet another tasty SLC/Utah brew. Pours clear deep gold with copper hues and off white head. The aroma is nice with spicy hops, floral hops, tangelo, grapefruit, apricots and pineapple as well as a bit of caramel and malt sweetness. The taste starts with spicy hops and then a modest wave of malt sweetness comes to the surface followed by floral hops, pineapple, tangelo and grapefruit citrus hoppiness. Into the finish the hoppy bitterness grows to pleasing levels. Nice but smooth and subtle for the style.
